U3A stands for University of the Third Age, which is a self-help organisation for people no longer in full time employment providing educational, creative and leisure opportunities in a friendly environment. It consists of local U3A branches all over the UK, which are self-governing and run entirely by volunteers For more information see the Third Age Trust web site. The Third Age Trust is the U3A's central organising body in the UK.
Heath U3A – Lincoln was formed in summer 2008 to serve the village of Bracebridge Heath, south of Lincoln, and the surrounding area. Our meetings take place on the second Monday of each month at 10am in the Methodist Church Hall, Grantham Road, Bracebridge Heath (see the meetings page on the main site).
A wide range of groups is offered. They decide their own schedule and meet in a variety of venues:- members' homes, the church hall, and outdoors. Group sign-up lists are available at monthly branch meetings, and you can contact one of the Groups Coordinators there too for more information.
